Smyrna, TN - The Cumberlands women's bowling team battled in day one of the USBC Sectionals on Saturday. Across twenty-baker-style games, UC hit a total of 3,368 pins to take 13
th place at the end of day one.
Cumberlands notched an average per-game pin count of 168.4 during their performance on Saturday. The Patriots best work of the day came during game eight when they knocked down 210 pins.
After twenty games, McKendree sits in first place after they hit 4,015 pins on Saturday. North Carolina A&T and Mount St. Mary's round out the top-three.
Seventeen schools made the trip to Smyrna, TN to compete in the USBC Sectional event. The tournament in Tennessee is one of four USBC Sectionals to take place on the weekend. The competing teams will resume play on Sunday and finish the tournament with twenty more baker-style games.
Cumberlands will look to improve as they battle in day two of the USBC Sectionals on Sunday in Smyrna.
