Bowling Green, KY – After an impressive season on the court, six Patriots have claimed all-conference honors, which includes an MSC Player of the Year win for Martin Barbier.

Just as he has all season for UC, Barbier cleaned house in the conference awards as he was able to take home the MSC Player of the Year award and a spot on the first team all-conference. Barbier has led Cumberlands this season with a spectacular #1 singles record of 18-1 overall, while also going 17-3 in #1 doubles with Eric Banoub. Earlier this season, Barbier was able to post a three-set victory or #39 Aleksa Ciric, while also recording 14 two-set victories against his competitors. This is now the second MSC Player of the Year award for Barbier, the first coming in 2019, and it will be the third time he has received first team all-conference honors.

Following Barbier with first team honors was Martin Muller and Mattis Le Montagner who both had standout seasons for the Patriots as well. Muller was able to put up 13-4 record in the #2 singles spot, with 10 two-set victories, while going 14-4 in #3 doubles with teammate Robert Wu Hung-Ju. As one of the most consistent tennis players on the roster, Montagner notched a 17-2 singles record in the #4 spot and 12-4 in the #2 doubles spot with Luis Montull. Montagner was also able to win 13 of his singles matches in just two sets throughout this season.

The fourth Patriot to receive a spot on an all-conference squad was Montull, as he hit has way into the second team. In the #3 singles spot, Montull went 15-2 overall with a total of 13 two-set victories. This will now be the second time that Montull has made an MSC all-conference team.

Finishing the all-conference honors for UC was Banoub and Wu Hung Jus, who made the honorable mentions list. In the #5 singles spot, Banoub tallied a 13-4 overall record with a total of 13 two-set victories. This is the second time that Banoub has received an all-conference nod. Wu Hung-Ju had an equally impressive season as he would go 15-0 in #6 doubles play, while also going 14-4 with Muller in #3 doubles.
