Williamsburg, KY - Coming off the most historic season in UC women's soccer history that ended with a trip to the NAIA Final Site, the Patriots are excited for what is to come this year. After returning four NAIA All-American honorees, the Patriots look to continue their climb towards a National Championship as they released their 2021 schedule Friday

Excited to see how this group comes together, Head Coach Steve Hamilton says, "This is the toughest schedule that has ever been played in the history of UC women's soccer and also one of the toughest schedules in the country."

UC is set to open their season at the UC Soccer Complex, where they will face off against a top-ranked team in Marian University. The season opener is set for Saturday, August 21. With Marian finishing ranked fourth in the 2020 Top 25-Postseason Poll, this will be an early test for the Patriots.

After the season opener, UC will have a pair road matches with some familiar opponents. With the Patriots posting a perfect record in away matches in the 2020 season, they are looking to continue their success on the road early on. Cumberlands is set to travel to Union College on August 25 for a mid-week matchup, before traveling down to Waleska, GA to face another AAC opponent in Reinhardt on August 28.

September begins with the Patriots hosting a trio of home matches. Cumberlands is set to host a pair of 2020 NAIA Qualifiers in Georgia Gwinnett and Truett McConnell on September 3 and September 4, respectively. UC will then have a two week break before hosting Dalton State in their last non-conference matchup on September 18, the Patriots defeated the RoadRunners 3-0 last season.

After the three-game home stretch, Cumberlands is set to open up Mid-South Conference play on September 21 at Cumberland University. This is the second year in a row that the Patriots have opened up conference play against the Phoenix. The Patriots are hoping for a repeat of their conference opener last season, where they beat Cumberland University 1-0.

September 25 is an important date on the Patriots schedule. Looking to avenge 4-1 loss in the 2020 regular season from the familiar conference foe, UC will travel down to Pulaski, Tennessee to face off with the Firehawks of UT Southern. Closing out the month of September, Cumberlands is set to host Campbellsville for the fourth straight year, where they are looking for their fourth straight win against the Tigers.

October will see the Patriots competing in their remaining eight Mid-South matchups. UC opens the month with a home match against Lindsey Wilson on the 3rd. Cumberlands is then set to travel down to the Volunteer State for a set of road matches against Free-Hardeman and Bethel on October 7 and October 9, respectively.

Coach Hamilton and team are set to return home for two conference matchups against Pikeville and Shawnee State on October 12 and October 15, before traveling to Georgetown for a road match on October 20. After beating these three conference opponents by a combined score of 15-0, UC hoping to continue their dominance against each team.

The final home match of the regular season sees the Patriots taking on Thomas More on October 23. Cumberlands is set to close out the regular season with a road game down in Marietta, GA to face off against Life on October 29.

All home games will have live video that will be available here.
