Addison, IL – The Patriots women's bowling team started the new year in Illinois at the Kegel ISBPA Midwest Collegiate Classic. This tournament featured 57 teams from all levels of the NCAA and NAIA. Cumberlands finished 47^th in this two-day event.
 
Day one consisted of 5 team games for UC. Allysen Coryell was the Patriots best performer on the day, finishing with a score of 924 over her five games. The sophomore had her best game during game three where she knocked over 194 pins through ten frames. This earned her a top-100 finish out of 342 bowlers that competed on Saturday.
 
Cumberlands finished the first day with 4206 total pins after the five games. Their best score as a team came in the last game of the day where they tallied a total of 879 pins between the five bowlers. Mickayla Shannon and Kiara Abanto were the next two individual finishers for the Pats with scores of 910 and 907. Kaitlyn Egan and Ryleigh Withers rounded out UC's bowlers with scores of 762 and 703 respectively.
 
Sunday consisted of 20 baker style games for Cumberlands where they looked to jump up the final standings. The third baker game saw the Patriots best performance as they knocked down 203 pins as a team. They finished day two after knocking down 3242 pins in the baker games. Their final score through both days ended at 7448 for a 47^th place finish.
 
Fellow MSC opponent Tennessee Southern finished the weekend in third place overall as they tallied 8968 pins over their two-days of bowling. Midway and Thomas More were the final two teams from the conference in Addison, IL over the weekend. They finished 38^th and 45^th overall with scores of 7725 and 7467 respectively.
 
The Patriots will be back in action next weekend as they travel north to Cincinnati, OH for the MSC Cincinnati Classic. This will be the fourth MSC battle of the season for UC.
