Colorado Springs, CO – As they are gearing up for the Mid-South Conference Championships slated for next week, the University of the Cumberlands men's and women's swimming & diving teams have also been shining in classrooms as they were both named CSCAA Scholar All-American Team, Monday afternoon. The Patriots were among the 728 teams from 450 institutions across all levels of collegiate swimming to earn this honor.

Greg Earhart, CSCAA Executive Director highlighted Cumberlands' achievements noting, "Coach Skelly continues, year-in, year-out to do great things. These 54 men and women are some of the best ambassadors that Cumberlands and the Mid-South Conference could ask for."

The Patriots women's team posted a 3.49 team GPA, while the men's team finished with a 3.36 GPA.  Cumberlands won one of 16 women's teams and 11 men's teams from across the NAIA to earn this distinction.

It marks the 29 straight semester that the women's team received this recognition and the 13 straight semester that men's team earned this honor. The teams were selected based on their Fall 2021 grade report average and the team had to have a 3.30 team gpa or higher.

Cumberlands will return to the water Thursday, February 3, at the MSC Championships taking place in Kingsport, TN.
