NAIA Top 10 Coaches Poll

Kansas City, MO – The UC men's lacrosse team earned 40 points to be ranked fourth in the NAIA Preseason Coaches' Poll, announced by the national office Wednesday. Patriots are coming off their third straight appearance in the NAIA National Invitational.

Cumberlands finished their 2021 season with an 8-7 record, including a 5-2 record in conference play. The Patriots advanced to the semi-final of the NAIA National Championship for the third straight year after defeating #3 Columbia 18-12 in the quarter final.

Highlighting the Patriots returners are Dylan Crouch, Stephen Popovich, and Thomas Fogarty. Crouch garnered his first NAIA All-American honor after setting a program record with 59 points in the season. Popovich and Fogarty both earned All-Conference honors while playing in vital parts to the Patriots success.

Defending NAIA Champion Reinhardt earned 50 points followed by Indiana Tech and Keiser taking the second and third spots in the poll. 

Cumberlands will open their season Sunday, February 20, when they host Webber at the UC Lacrosse Complex. The game is set for 2 p.m.
