Bowling Green, KY- For the first time in her MSC Career, graduate student, Abby Baker earns Mid-South Conference offensive player of the week. Baker recorded her first goal as a Patriot during their match against #19 Lindsey Wilson.

Baker, a transfer from Transylvania University, came into the program this fall with the intent to do some offensive damage. So far this year, the Corbin native has worked as a facilitator for the Patriots, but her chance to score came at a perfect time against another to-25 opponent, in Lindsey Wilson.

Baker found the back of the net twice during the match, which ended up being the only goals scored during the game. After a quiet first half, Baker headed the ball into the goal after receiving a corner kick from Olaya Blanco. Her first goal on the season and as a Patriot was one to remember.

Later in the match, Baker notched an additional goal to secure the brace, making the score 2-0. Throughout the match, Baker forced a number of turnovers and was one with the ball to help lead the Patriots to their 10^th win of the season.

Cumberlands takes the field again, October 19^th against Thomas More University. Kickoff is set for 5pm.
