Coaches' Poll
Kansas City, MO – The Patriots will come into their 2022-23 campaign receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches' Top-25 Preseason Poll. After a 20-13 season and their ninth consecutive NAIA National Tournament appearance, UC returned every starter and added multiple key players to make the jump into this year's preseason poll. This marks the first time since the 20-21 season that UC has had their name mentioned in the NAIA Coaches' poll.
 
2^nd year Head Coach Matt Daniel will look to Jahi Hinson and Steven Fitzgerald to lead his team again this year. Both of these seniors were featured in the top-five average scores in the MSC last year. Hinson averaged 18.2 while Fitzgerald scored 17.1 a game.
 
After tallying their most conference wins since the 2010-11 season, the Pats look to make even more waves in one of the top conferences in the NAIA. With 13 MSC wins, including a regular season sweep over Thomas More, the Patriots are in a great spot to compete for a MSC championship this year.
 
Four teams from the Mid-South were mentioned in this preseason poll. The Saints of Thomas More come in ranked number two in the nation after an NAIA Final Four Appearance last season. Georgetown find themselves ranked 10^th after claiming the MSC Tournament Championship, while Cumberland U comes in at 20^th. The Patriots round out the MSC members on the list, receiving 14 votes in the poll.
 
Cumberlands will get their season started tomorrow as they face off against Milligan University. Game time is set for 7 PM ET and the livestream can be viewed here.
