Coaches' Poll
Kansas City, MO – The Women's Cross Country team fall to 23
rd in the latest NAIA Top-25 Coaches' Poll, NAIA officials announced Thursday afternoon. UC held the 20
th spot for the latest three NAIA polls.
Cumberlands recently competed in the Great Lakes Challenge in Grand Rapids, MI where they placed 12
th out of the 25 teams that ran. Each of the 11 teams that finished in front of the Pats were top-25 teams in the NAIA.
Ashlynn Liddle was the top UC runner last weekend, pacing her 5k in 18:48.2 for 42
nd place overall.
Lauren Sanderson and Victoria Richardson continued their consistency in the top-five finishers while
Ashley Terry and
Nevaeh Warren tallied scoring performances as well.
Taylor knocked off Milligan for the top spot in the NAIA after their first place finish at the Great Lakes Challenge last weekend. Milligan moved down to number two while Saint Mary and The Masters are in third and fourth. Cornerstone rounded out the top-five rankings for this week.
UC continues to be the only team from the Mid-South ranked in the top-25 as they head into the postseason. Campbellsville is receiving votes, but the Pats are still the favorites heading into the MSC Championships.
The Patriots will be ready to race November 4
th in Bowling Green, KY for the Mid-South Conference Championships, where they look to three-peat after claiming the last two MSC Titles.
