Bowling Green, KY – UC Men's Basketball opened up their season with two wins led by senior Jahi Hinson. His performances earned him the first MSC Player of the Week honors of the 22-23 season, conference officials announced Monday afternoon.  
 
In the season opener Hinson scored 26 points on 10-20 shooting from the field. The senior hit two threes during the game, and had a pair of rebounds and assists as well. The senior shot 67% from the field in the second half, scoring his final 20 of the game. The Patriots would take the win against Milligan 84-69.
 
In his final game of the week, Hinson notched the seventh double-double of his career. The senior netted 24 points along with 12 rebounds against Bryan College, shooting over 56% from the field and hitting four threes. Hinson again led his team to victory, as UC took the game 72-51.
 
The Detroit, MI native averaged 25 over this two game span, shooting 52.8% from the field. This marks the first time he has received MSC weekly honors in his career.
 
Hinson and the Patriots will be back on the court on Tuesday as they will take on the Johnson University Royals. Game time is set for 7 PM ET in Williamsburg, KY.
