Kansas City, MO – The NAIA released the Daktronics Scholar Athlete honorees Thursday afternoon, mentioning six runners from UC's Women's Cross Country team. This marks the second straight year six Patriots have garnered this award.
Jenna Grogan earns these honors for the third consecutive season while
Hannah Henage and
Morgan Lucason add the second Scholar Athlete award to their resume. Sophomores
Isabelle Blatz,
Ashley Terry, and
Nevaeh Warren each earn their first national academic award and round out UC's honorees on this list.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
The Women's Cross Country team are coming off their third-straight MSC Championships, and are preparing to race at the NAIA National Championships tomorrow morning.
