Bowling Green, KY- The Cumberlands women's soccer team placed 24 athletes on Mid-South Conference Academic All-Conference Team, announced by conference officials on Wednesday. UC and Lindsey Wilson led the MSC with 23 honorees apiece.
The Mid-South Conference also released their MSC Champions of Character team. Earning the honors for the Patriots was graduate student,
Selena Barnett.

Laura Navajas Marin and
Savannah Prigmore each receive the honor for the fourth straight year.
For the third time in their careers
Amy Anderson,
Irene Medina, Shannon Dillow, Chiara Michieletto, and Whitney Vandiver all received the honors.
Additionally, the following student-athletes earned honors for the second time in their careers:
Sarah Hammerstone,
Laura Vogt, and Madison Gamache.
And, for the first time in their careers Daniela Aguirre,
Rita Aguye Cots, Mariah Akridge, Reis Anderson,
Abby Baker, Alyson Barnes,
Olaya Blanco,
Jayden Boelter, Emily Hart,
Georgia Martell, Trista Moran and Matija Yocum earn the honors.
In order to be nominated for the Academic All-Conference Team each athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must have completed at least one year at a college or university. The MSC also recognizes a Champions of Character Team for each championship sport. The student-athletes that are honored on the Champions of Character Team were nominated by their coaches based on their leadership on campus and in the community while demonstrating the five core character values the NAIA embraces.
UC is set to compete in the quarterfinals of the MSC.
