Bowling Green_­, KY – A big time week for Meryn Livingston was rewarded with her first career Mid-South Conference Player of the Week honor. The team had a great week on the diamond going 7-1 including a perfect 6-0 at the Bear Creek Tournament. Livingston was instrumental in the success going 10-23 at the plate for a batting average of .435.

Over an eight-game week, Livingston was unstoppable at the plate. Tallying 18 total bases off 10 hits, with six of them being extra base hits including five doubles. The Georgetown, KY native scored six times herself and brought around her teammates 11 times, for a team best in RBI.


Livingston alone, almost recorded more RBI than UC's opponents, her 11 was just eight behind the seven teams total of 18 on the week. Three of her RBI came against Cleary when she launched her first homerun of the season to left center. She also had three RBI against Taylor, but those were not even her best offensive games of the week. Livingston went 3-4 against Huntington with four RBI. She sent two doubles to the outfield, one to center and the other to left center, both bringing around two teammates. The junior also had a single to lead off the fourth inning that kickstarted a two-run frame.

Livingston was also a key contributor behind the dish with 18 putouts and two assists. She also threw out one runner in the team's 10-3 victory over Huntington.

UC will travel to Columbus, GA for the three-day NFCA Leadoff starting February 25. Day one will have UC taking on (RV) Truett McConnell and #16 William Carey at 11AM and 1PM respectively. The games will be livestreamed here.
