Kingsport, TN – Coming off of a 14-7 win over sixth-ranked Concordia last Friday, the fourth-ranked UC men's lacrosse team had a pair of standout performances that earned conference recognition.   Dylan Crouch was named the AAC Offensive Player of the Week, while Will Settle earned AAC Defensive Player of the Week honors, conference officials announced Monday.

Crouch had a balanced game with four goals, four assists, and eight points to lead the Patriots offensive output and earn his first AAC Offensive Player of the Week award of the season.  The senior dished out a pair of assists in the first quarter to help UC jump out to a 6-0 lead, before netting his first goal of the game at the 5:17 mark of the second period.  The Trenton, OH native added three second half goals to help Cumberlands break open the game and improve to 2-0.  The four assists are tied fourth most in program history, while it marks the third time in Crouch's career he finished with at least eight points in a game. Crouch leads the team with seven goals, four assists, and 11 points so far this season. 



Settle made six saves to earn the AAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.  The Patriot goalie was stellar between the pipes limiting the Cardinals to just three goals over the first 45 minutes of play.  Settle made three saves in the first quarter blanking Concordia, who averaged 12.73 goals per game a year ago.  In addition to that Settle recorded his 400^th career save in the win as he improved to 2-0 on the season for UC.



The Patriots return to the field Monday, February 28, as they host Michigan-Dearborn.  Game is set for a 5 p.m. faceoff with live video available here.
