Lebanon, TN – At the Cumberland Open, UC had six Patriots finish in the top-5 of their respective weight brackets.

Gabe Jacobs posted a first-place finish in the 197-bracket with a 5-0 record on the day. He won three matches by fall, notching one in only 37 seconds. He would also get a 10-2 major decision win, before getting a medical forfeit win over 3
rd ranked Trevor Lawson (Linsey Wilson), in the first-place match.
Next was
Weston Milnes posting a second-place finish in the 165-bracket. Milnes ended the day with a 4-1 record. On his way to the first-place match, he notched two straight falls, followed by a 10-0 major decision win and a 4-2 decision win. Then in the first-place match, Milnes would fall to 13
th ranked Matt Jenkins (Reinhardt).
Chasen Brown wrestled in the 149-bracket and finished with a third-place finish. Brown started the day with a fall win, followed by a decision and tech fall win. In the semifinals, Brown faced 2
nd ranked in 141 pounds Ryan Moore (Thomas More), where he fell by major decision. Brown would then get a no-contest win and a medical forfeit over
Derrick Bannister to place third. Bannister would finish in fourth place, with two fall wins and three decision wins on the day.
Tobias Garrison placed fourth in the 184-bracket with a 3-2 record on the day, with all three of his wins coming by falls.
Gage Hudson also finished in fourth place in the 133-bracket, after reaching the six-match limit in the third-place match. Hudson ended the day with a 5-1 record, notching one fall, one major decision, and three decision wins.
Patriots will end the regular season on Feb 9 at home in a dual against Lindsey Wilson. The dual is set to start at 7 pm, but UC will start senior day celebrations at 6:45.
