Williamsburg, KY – For the first time since 2018 the Patriots men's lacrosse team will play at least eight home games at the UC Lacrosse Complex as Head Coach Pete Campbell has announced the teams 2022 schedule.  UC continues to boast one of the toughest schedules in the NAIA as they will face nine teams that are ranked or receiving votes in the NAIA Preseason Poll.

"We are going to be tested every game, but playing a tough non-conference schedule will prepare us for conference play as well as the national tournament," said Head Coach Pete Campbell.

This year the Patriots will open their season with six straight home games, tying the program record for longest home stand in the program's history.  For the second straight year, UC will open the season with AAC rival (RV) Webber on February 20.  The Patriots defeated the Warriors 19-8 last season in the lone meeting between the two programs.

UC will close out the opening week hosting sixth-ranked Concordia on February 25, before playing Michigan-Dearborn the following Monday.  The Cardinals finished 8-3 last season and qualified for the NAIA national tournament as it will be the second meeting between these two programs.

Cumberlands is slated to play the bulk of their schedule in March with seven games on the docket. The Patriots open the month with the toughest part of the schedule as they face five straight teams that are ranked or receiving votes.  On March 6^th, fans will get a re-match of last year's NAIA quarterfinals when the Patriots host sixth-ranked Columbia. The Patriots utilized a strong fourth quarter to advance past the Cougars 18-12.

Three days later, the Patriots host ninth-ranked Benedictine, who advanced to the last two championships.  UC will close out the home stand later that week against second-ranked Indiana Tech in a rematch of last year's 10-9 double overtime national semifinal game.

UC hits the road and returns to conference play with a neutral site game against the AAC newcomer Keiser, who is ranked third in the preseason poll, on March 18.  A day later, Cumberlands faces (RV) St. Andrews.  The Patriots return to the Bluegrass State to host SCAD-Savannah (March 23), before traveling down I75 to play Tennessee Wesleyan (March 30).

April will see the Patriots close out their regular season with three games.  In a rematch of the 2021 AAC tournament championship game, UC travels to Reinhardt on April 1^st.  The Patriots home finale is the following week against Point (April 5), while UC is set to close out the season at Ottawa (KS) on April 9.

The AAC tournament is scheduled for April 16-April 23 with the championship game being held in Waleska, Ga.  The NAIA national invitational is set for May 11-14 in Pensacola, FL.
