NAIA Coaches Poll – No. 6

Kansas City, MO – With the sixth and final poll of the regular season the Patriots move into a two-way tie for ninth with Menlo. The Patriots has another new face in the top-20, to make it eight individuals ranked in the top-20, with Aaron Johnson, Austin Franco, Gabe Jacobs, and Bryce Nickel being ranked in the top ten of their respective weight classes, as announced Wednesday afternoon by the national office.

O'Brian Black is the new face in the poll coming in at 13^th in 157. The Helena, GA native has a 13-8 overall record on the year with a 3-2 record in duals.

Nickel moved up to 5^th in 141 with a 19-4 record. Since the last poll, he only wrestled once notching a win by fall over Cole Fort (Campbellsville). Franco moved into the 8^th spot at 125, with a record of 14-4 on the year. Johnson stayed in the 6^th at 285, after beating Gabe Craig (Campbellsville). Jacobs moved of to the 9^th spot after going 6-0 last week. His performance earned him Mid-South Wrestler of the week.

DeVaughn Sapien moved into the 14^th spot at 125, with an overall record of 18-6 and a dual record of 6-1. While Harold Gilmore moved up to 16^th at 184, after notching a win over Jaden Sonner (Campbellsville). Lastly, Jarod Swank moved up to the 17^th spot at 174. The Granger, IN native holds an overall record of 12-4, after notching a win over Brice Parks (Campbellsville).

In the team poll portion, the Mid-South Conference still has seven teams ranked in the top-20. Life still leads the way at number two. Then there is Lindsey Wilson, Southeastern, Cumberlands, and Cumberland, in the fifth, seventh, ninth, and tenth spots. With Campbellsville in the 13^th spot, and Thomas More in the 17^th spot.

UC will end the regular season tonight against Lindsey Wilson at 7 pm. It will also be senior night.
