Kansas City, MO – The Patriots men's tennis program moves up one spot in the most recent poll, coming in at 12 in the NAIA Men's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll, announced Wednesday. The Patriots tallied a total of 218 points to be one of the four Mid-South teams named to the poll. 

Cumberlands has played well to this point in the season with an overall record of 11-4 while going 2-1 in conference play. They have seen a stretch of strong play of late as the Patriots have won five of their last six matches with four of those wins coming against teams who are either receiving votes or ranked in the top-25. UC has played well to this point against ranked opponents, going 4-4 against teams RV or better.

Martin Barbier and Eric Banoub continue to perform at a high level as UC's top tandem, going 13-3 on the season to this point with a 3-0 mark in conference. The dynamic duo have been rolling of late, winning seven straight contests while going 9-1 in their last 10. Martin Muller and Hung-Ju Wu have been right there with them in the #3 spot with an 11-4 record on the season with an 8-2 mark in their last 10 bouts.

Barbier has led the way in singles play as well with a team-best 11 wins to date. He has played exclusively out of the #1 spot for UC and has lived up that billing especially of late with him going 8-2 in his last 10 matches. Muller and Wu have joined their teammate in double-digit wins with both of them sporting 10. Muller has played mostly as the team's #3 and has been instrumental in the team's recent success winning his last six contests. Hung-Ju has come on strong of last as well as he's won each of his last five and seven of his last 10.

Leading the national poll was Georgia Gwinnett with 343 points and 13 first-place votes with Indiana Wesleyan with 325 points in second and Tennessee Wesleyan in third with 324 points.  

The Patriots will see Austin Peay next at home on Wednesday, March 23rd, before hosting MSC foes Freed-Hardeman and Bethel on Friday and Saturday with each match set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
