Kansas City, MO - After capturing second place at the Blue Raider Invitational, the Patriots women's golf team notched their first top-25 ranking of the season. UC captured a total of 110 votes to earn a #24 ranking in the most recent NAIA coaches' poll, announced by the national office on Friday.
 
This last weekend, Cumberlands tallied a 54-hole score of 916 (+64) to take second at the Blue Raider Invite in Columbia, KY. UC had four players finish within the top-ten on the individual leaderboard to help secure second place. The runner-up finish matches the Patriots highest finish of the season, and is their highest finish so far during their spring season.

At the tournament, Sharon Holczer led the way for UC tallying a second place finish overall on the individual leaderboard. The freshman clubbed a three round score of 222 (+9), which was just six strokes behind the leader. Over 54 holes at the Blue Raider Invitational, the Caracas, Miranda native tallied a team high eight birdies, to help lead her to her second straight top-ten finish. Her best rounds came during rounds one and three of the tournament, where she carded a 73 (+2) during both rounds.

Cumberlands is one of four Mid-South Conference teams mentioned within the latest NAIA top-25 coaches' poll. Cumberland University earned the highest ranking of any MSC team, coming in at #13. Lindsey Wilson earned 245 votes to come in at #16 in the poll, while Campbellsville moved up one spot to #18.
 
UC is set to travel down to Gulf Shores, AL tomorrow to compete in the Carey Collegiate.
