Rickmansworth, United Kingdom – With the start of the fall season just over a month away, Jamine Points has spent the summer preparing to build upon her strong freshman campaign.  The Patriots women's golfer competed in the Women's English Amateur at Moor Park Golf Club this week, where she reached the quarterfinals. 

Competing in one of the largest amateur events in England, Points utilized consistent play over her first two rounds to qualify for match play.  The sophomore opened the tournament posting the best score of the day carding a 72 (E), before closing out stroke play with 74 (+2) to sit in third place with a 36-hole total of 146 (+2).  Over those two rounds the Suffolk, England native tallied an eagle on the 17^th hole of round one to go along with seven birdies.

Points advanced to match play, where she defeated Sommer Chan 3 &2 in the round of 16.  In that match, Points won three straight holes to take that a two stroke advantage through seven holes and never looked back. 

Her steady play continued into the quarterfinals as she took a one stroke lead over Ellise Rymer after the 10^th hole.  The two players tied the next six holes, before Rymer notched back-to-back birdies to advance.

Points is coming off an incredible freshman campaign, where she averaged 76.0 per round and ranked 53^rd in the NAIA.  She helped the Patriots capture the Mid-South Conference title and post a fifth  place finish at the 2026 NAIA National Championships, where she placed 15^th overall to earn NAIA All-Tournament honors.  Points also garnered NAIA Third Team All-American accolades, was the MSC Freshman of the Year, and a MSC First Team All-Conference selection.

The Patriots kick off their 2026 season on September 14^th when they travel to Paducah, KY to compete at Murray State's Velvit Classic.
