Crossville, TN- Emily Allen, Maria Neira, and Viviane Braun all finish within the top-20 to secure second place for the UC women's golf team at the MSC Spring Classic. The Patriots carded a second round score of 308 (+20) to move into second place on day two.

Leading the way for Cumberlands was Allen, who finished tied for fifth after day two of the tournament. On the day, the freshman recorded six pars, two birdies, and an eagle to combine for a second round score of 78 (+6). Allen's 54 hole score of 233 (17) is her lowest score so far this season.

Neira shot her second lowest round of the tournament on day two to secure tenth place in Crossville. The freshman recorded a birdie on hole four to finish with a 18 hole score of 78 (+6). Neira finished with a combined 54 hole score of 236 (+20), which is one of her lowest tournament scores so far this spring.

Braun finished in 14th place overall on the individual leaderboard at the MSC Spring CLassic. The senior recorded her best round on two one to help remain inside the top-15 at the conclusion of the tournament. On the tournament, the Wegberg, Germany native recorded 27 pars, and three birdies to finish with a 54 hole score of 242 (26).

Sharon Holczer improved on day two of the tournament to earn a top-25 at the tournament. The Caracas, Miranda native carded a third round score of 79 (+7) to finish tied for 22nd on the individual leaderboard. Holczer got off to a hot start on day two, as she started the day with five straights pars.. This is the second straight tournament that Holczer has finished inside the top-25 in the individual leaderboard.

Elena Hortian improved on day two of the tournament to finish 25^th on the individual leaderboard. Hortian's best nine holes of the tournament came on the front nine during day two, as she carded five pars and three birdies through nine holes.


The Patriots will look to build off their second place finish in a few weeks as they are set to travel to Bowling Green, KY for the Mid-South Conference Tournament championship.
