Bowling Green, KY - UC has seen their prowess in the classroom be as consistent as their play on the courts with them putting the most players of any team on the the Mid-South All-Academic list, announced the conference Wednesday. Cumberlands set a new program-high for players to make the list, outdoing their 10 from a season ago while having twice as many as second place Campbellsville's seven.

Leading the way for the Patriots on the list is Luis Montull who earned the honor for a fifth straight season to lead the team. Montull also ended up being named the Patriot's recipient of the Champions of Character, adding to his long list of superlatives.

Making the list for a fourth time is Martin Barbier and Patrick Pereira, finding themselves named as an All-Academic honorees for the fourth time consecutively.

The Patriots also had a trio of players make it for a third time in Eric Banoub, Sjoerd Nijssen, Salem Saleh. Being names to the list for the second time in their careers were Mattis Le Montagner, Trendon Ball, and Peyton Hamblin.

Showing up for the first time on the are Martin Muller, Liam Savio, Thibault Villetorte, Quentin Villetorte, and Hung-Ju Wu.

Cumberlands MSC institutions with 14 honorees while Campbellsville placed seven on list with Shawnee State, Cumberland, and Georgetown tying for the third most as each team had six.

In order to be nominated for the All-Academic team each athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale, and have completed at least one year at a college or university. The MSC recognizes a Champions of Character Team for each championship sport. The student-athletes that are honored on the Champions of Character Team were nominated by their coaches based on their leadership on campus and in the community while demonstrating the five core character values of the NAIA.
