Bowling Green, KY - Five Patriots men's golfers were named to the Mid-South Conference Academic All-Conference team, the league office announced on Friday.
Gustav Barden, Cole Brown, Ethan Comer, Jarryd Elliott, and Juan Murube all received the honors. For the third straight season, Murube secured the award. In-order to receive the award, the student-athlete must be of sophomore status and maintain a 3.25 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
Jose Andres Cortes was named the Champion of Character for the Patriots. Cortes received the award for his demonstration of leadership in the community.
So far this season, Cumberlands has notched their highest finish at the Blue Raider Invitational back in March. The Patriots combined for a 54-hole score of 865 (+25) to take second at the tournament.
UC is set to begin MSC Tournament play today in Bowling Green, KY. Players are set to tee off at 9:30 a.m. EST, with two rounds being played on Monday.
