Pensacola, FL – Thomas Fogarty netted a team-high four goals, while goalie Will Settle tied his season-high with 15 saves however it wasn't enough as the fourth-seed Patriots men's lacrosse team falls to top-seed Indiana Tech 11-8 in the semifinals of the NAIA Invitational.  The Patriots close out the season with a 13-5 record and a plethora of program records.

Fogarty tallied four goals, an assist, and scooped three ground balls in the game.  It marks the fourth time in his career that the senior has netted at least four goals in a NAIA Tournament game and the second time this season.  Settle tied his season-high with 15 saves and finished the tournament with 29 saves and it marks the sixth straight game with double-digit saves.

Dylan Crouch and Dawson Coltran tallied a goal and an assist in the game, while Christian Vanover dished out a pair of assists.  Jak Morgan scooped four ground balls as Nik Kubik went 12-23 on faceoffs and scooped six ground balls.

Settle made a pair of saves in the first three minutes of the game to keep the game scoreless before Coltran found Fogarty for a goal to put UC in front 1-0.  Settle made four more saves in the quarter as Indiana Tech took a 2-1 advantage.  After Settle's sixth save of the period, Vanover connected with a cutting Kava for the equalizer tying the game at 2-2 after the opening quarter.

Cumberlands carried the momentum into the second quarter as Crouch connected with Fogarty, who bounce a shot into the net to make it 3-2 in favor of the Patriots.  Settle made four saves over the next five minutes to keep the score the same.  UC extended their lead as Fogarty sent a pass in front of the cage to Crouch, who one-timed it, while getting hit for the goal making it 4-2 with 7:58 remaining. Indiana Tech added three unanswered goals to take a 5-4 lead into halftime.

The Warriors netted two more goals to extend their lead to 7-4 midway through the third quarter.  The Patriots took advantage of a penalty as Kava found Fogarty for a man-up goal with 4:49 remaining cut the deficit to 7-5.  After Indiana Tech added a goal, Vanover passed the ball up to Tanner Popovich, who dodged and fired a shot into the upper corner of the cage as the Warriors took a 9-6 lead into the fourth quarter.

Indiana Tech added a goal in the opening minute of the fourth period, however, Cumberlands responded as Coltran scooped a ground ball and fired it into the cage for a goal to pull UC within three at 10-7 with 11:03 remaining.  After the two teams traded goals UC tried to cut into the deficit more but was unsuccessful for the 11-8 final.

The Patriots close the season setting program records in goals, assists, and caused turnovers.
