Williamsburg, KY – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association released their final rankings of the 2021-22 season on Wednesday afternoon with Martin Barbier and Mattis Le Montagner retaining their spots in the top-50 for singles while Barbier made the cut once again alongside Eric Banoub for doubles. 

Martin Barbier moves up one spot from his previous ranking to 28. The native of Guadeloupe, France has been a mainstay in Cumberlands' lineup all season long as he's played his way to a record of 44-9. Barbier has racked up the awards this year, winning four MSC Player of the Week awards while garnering a first team selection for in both the Mid-South Conference and the NAIA. 

Mattis Le Montagner finds himself on the list for the fourth time this season, checking in at 45. Le Montagner was named to his second Mid-South All-Conference First Team in as many years while getting the nod as a NAIA All-American Honorable Mention for his efforts this season. Mattis finished the season with a career best 31 overall wins and setting a new career-high in doubles wins as well with 14.

Barbier's name popped up once again in the ITA's doubles rankings as he came in at 23 with his partner Eric Banoub. The two put together a year to remember as they were able to go 22-6 with all but one of their wins coming at the #1 spot. Banoub and Barbier showed themselves to be more than capable of handling tough assignments, going 7-3 against teams receiving votes or better to go along with a 6-3 win against Division I Austin Peay.
