Bowling Green, KY- Patriots drop today's championship matchup against Freed-Hardeman 3-1. UC will look to take tomorrow's winner take all match at 12 pm (CT).

Braxton Cottongame pitched a great game as he went 7.0 innings allowing only three hits and two runs with three strikeouts. He did not allow a hit until the fourth inning. Jake Kampen came in relief and pitched 2.0 innings giving up two hits and a run with a strikeout.

Offensively, Cumberlands out hit the Lions 7-5 but could only get one run across. UC lone run came by way of a solo homerun by Andres Rolon over the right fence in the bottom of the fifth.

After scoring the run, Patriots battled by getting runners on base in each of the last three innings but never got a run across to fall 3-1.
