Williamsburg, KY- With just two weeks remaining until their fall opener, the Patriot women's golf team looks ahead to start their 2022-2023 season. As Head Coach Aaron Watkins enters his fourth year at the helm of the Cumberlands golf program, the team strives to continue its success on the course and raise the bar for the program.  

For the second consecutive season, the Pats open their fall slate at the Players Club Invitational on September 9-10 in Yorktown, IN. The women are looking to improve upon the fifth place standing they earned in Yorktown a year ago. On September 17-18 the Patriots travel to Lexington, KY to compete in the AU Fall Invitational hosted by Asbury University. This will be the first time the program will travel to Asbury under Coach Watkins, and he is excited for the new opportunity; "I wanted to introduce some new territory and greens to our golfers. It is always important to keep challenging and making them better every day." 

During the month of October, UC will compete in three tournaments. The first of which will be hosted by Faulkner University and takes place in Knoxville, TN on October 10 and 11. This is one of only two matches during the fall season where UC's men's and women's team will compete in the same tournament. A week later, you can catch the Patriots traveling to Silvis, IL to compete in the TPC Deere Run Invitational hosted by William Penn University. 

The last tournament of the Fall season lands the Patriots in Bowling Green, KY on October 24 and 25 competing in the MSC Fall Invite. UC women's golf is looking to bounce back after placing fourth during the 2021 season and reclaim the first-place title they held in 2019 and 2020. "We have a great group of golfers here with us to compete this season, and I am looking forward to watching them succeed this fall," says Coach Watkins.
