Bowling Green, KY – Coming off of a strong opening weekend in which she captured a trio of first place finishes, Patriots compound archer Marissa Harding was selected as the Mid-South Conference Shooter of the Week.  The marks the first time that the Vestal, NY native has garnered this honor.

Harding opened her season by winning gold at the USA 3D Regionals in the women's compound event.  The sophomore carded a 432 and hit 21 12's on the day to take top honors by six points.   Harding tallied a 214 in the first round of the tournament and improved on that score with a 218 in the second round to pull away from the field.  That score was also the highest women's compound score at a regional in program history.

Entering has the top-seed, the Vestal, NY native followed that up by earning gold in the women's compound individual shoot downs.  Harding, who was in fourth place after the second round, stormed back with a pair of 12's and a 14 in the fifth round to force a three-way tie for first place.  The sophomore won the won arrow shoot-off to finish atop the podium. 

Harding collected are third gold medal as part of the Patriots women's compound team. Harding along with Hannah Moose and Danielle Woodie earned the top-seed in the division and opened with a 176-173 win over Union to advance to the championship match.  The trio then defeated Pikeville 182-178 to take home the gold medal.

The sophomore was also part of Cumberlands mixed recurve team that earned five points after a fourth place finish. 

Cumberlands scored 199 points to capture their sixth straight MSC 3D Championship, which is the first of three legs to determine the overall conference title.

UC will now turn its attention to the USA 3D National Championships, which are set to take place October 13-15 in Foley, AL.
