NAIA Top-25 Coaches' Poll: 4

Kansas City, MO- The Cumberlands Patriots women's soccer team maintains their fourth place standing in the NAIA Coaches' Poll with 441 points. Since the latest poll, the Patriots opened their stretch of conference matches against Freed-Hardeman and (RV) Bethel.

Cumberlands secured the victory over Freed-Hardeman after a well-fought battle that resulted in two, late game goals from Jayden Boelter. Two days later, the Pats took the field against Bethel. The Lions held the lead for most of the match after scoring a goal early in the first half, but UC was resilient. In the last four minutes of the game, Carola Fontan tapped the ball in to tie the game 1-1. The match resulted in a tie, maintaining the teams undefeated record.

Sophomore, Jayden Boelter has scored 11 goals for UC this season, putting her in the 8^th spot for most goals scored in the NAIA. She has recorded four, multi-goal games including the match against Southeastern- who is now ranked 9^th overall.

UC's offensive presence has been dominant in every area during the 2022 campaign. So far, the Pats have outscored their opponents 16 to 6, with five shutouts and are averaging 1.78 goals a game.

After taking on one of the toughest schedules in the NAIA, Cumberlands remains undefeated with an overall record of 6-0-3. They have eight games remaining in the regular season, three of which are against top-25 opponents within the Mid-South.

The women will face off against #6 Tennessee Southern, #15 Cumberland and #19 Lindsey Wilson before heading into the post season in early November.
