Bowling Green, KY – In her first race as a Patriot, Ashlyn Liddle has been named Mid-South Conference runner of the week, conference officials announced Monday afternoon.
 
The junior was the first runner to cross the finish line at the Berea/Centre Jamboree last Friday, pacing her two miles in 11:37.38. Her first-place finish starts her career with UC off with a bang and made her the first Patriot to earn weekly honors this season.
 
Liddle's performance not only led her to an individual victory, but helped the team come away with a first-place finish over the seven schools competing in Berea. They finished with just 26 points, beating second place Centre College, who scored 39 points respectively.
 
The Patriots will return to the course in two weeks where they will travel south to Tallahassee, FL for the NAIA Pre-Nationals meet. This will give Cumberlands a look at the course where the NAIA National Championships will be held at the end of this year.
