Williamsburg, KY – The third-ranked Patriots women's soccer team captured their second consecutive MSC regular season championship after earning a 3-3 draw with Lindsey Wilson Monday afternoon at the UC Soccer Complex.  The Patriots close out the regular season with a 12-0-3 record, including a 5-0-1 conference mark.

Jayden Boelter led all Patriots with a goal and an assist in the match.  The junior from Hebron, KY native netted her 66th career goal making her UC's all-time career goals leader, while she is in second place for career points.  Judit Moya and Noah Paalman also recorded goals in the match, while Carola Fontan and Nicole Araujo dished out assists.

The two teams came out trading possession over then first 15 minutes of action with neither team able to record a shot.  UC tallied a pair of shots, both of which sailed high to keep the game scoreless.  Boelter and Paalman each tallied a shot on frame in the 27' but they were saved.  Moments later, Fontan pushed the ball out wide to Boelter, who fired a shot into the net to give UC a 1-0 lead.  On the next Cumberlands possession Boelter sent the ball forward to Moya for a goal extending the lead to 2-0, 18 seconds later.  The Patriots defense held strong to keep the Blue Raiders without a shot as UC took a 2-0 lead into the break.

The Patriots tallied two shots and a corner kick in the first five minutes of the second half.  After the Blue Raiders got on the board, Cumberlands answered with a goal of their own.  In the 54' UC played the ball forward as Araujo headed the ball over to Paalman, who netted her first goal of the season to make it 3-1.  The Patriots tallied three shots and five corner kick over the next ten minutes but couldn't convert keeping it a two goal game.  The Blue Raiders scored twice late to force the 3-3 draw.
