Williamsburg, KY – The University of the Cumberlands men's swimming & diving team took first place in all 14 events on the day as the Patriots improve to 5-0 after the 194-41 win over Shawnee State Saturday afternoon at the UC Aquatic Center.

Ten different Patriots recorded wins on the day, while UC had seven performances that achieved national cuts.  UC opened the meet with Creed Farthing, Marcos Del Vaso Sanz, Augustin Rasche, and Leon Irmer teaming up to win the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:37.89.

Mateus Cruz and Ruthiik Satti each posted a pair of wins on the day with two provisional cuts.  Cruz pulled away from the field and clocked a 21.63 to win the 50 free.  Cruz followed that up by clocking a 51.36 in the 100 fly.  Teammate Leon Irmer finished second clipping the NAIA provisional cut (52.77).

Satti touched the wall in 48.25 to win the 100 free before pulling away in the 100 back with a winning time of 52.24.

Liam Smith posted a season-best score of 219.50 to win the one-meter dive event.  That mark is a season-best for the freshman as it is the second time this season that he has achieved the "A" standard.

In the 100 breast, Nikita Konovets clocked a 59.34 to win and achieve the provisional cut.  Andres Caicedo to first in the 200 breast (2:12.87). 

Jose Arayus and Lucca Zhigalin each notched individual wins in freestyle as Arayus won the 200 free (1:47.72), while Zhigalin finished first in the 500 free (5:05.29). 

Ruben Gonzalez de Oliveira, Martin Seve, and Dorian Bachlak all posted wins on the day.  Gonzalez de Oliveira went 2:07.31 in the 200 back, while Seve clocked a 2:06.15 for the 200 fly and Bachlaj won the 100 IM with a time of 55.86. 

The Patriots now turn their attention to their mid-season meet when they travel north to the College of Wooster Invite November 30- December 2^nd.
