Brookings, SD – Tristan Petrey had a historic day in the pole vault competition to round out UC's time at the NAIA Indoor National Championships. He was the lone Patriot competing on Saturday.
The Richmond, KY native broke the program record for the indoor pole vault with a 4.90m mark. This was good for fifth place, giving Petrey the first All-American honors of his career.
UC ended the weekend 23
rd as a team after scoring 12 points. Petrey and his teammate
Carson Johnson were responsible for these points, both earning All-American honors.
The Indoor season comes to an end after today's competition. The outdoor season starts in just two weeks when the Pats travel to Louisville, KY for the Jim Vargo Invitational at Bellarmine University.
