Marion, IN – Cumberlands concluded their season at the 2025 NAIA Outdoor Championships on Friday with four All-American performances, including a national title in the 4x400 relay for the first time in program history. UC finished sixth in the team standings with 38 points, the second-best finish in program history.
The final race of the championships saw UC dominate the field, clocking a 3:09.45 to win the 4x400 by over two seconds.
Iloba Godspower fired out of the blocks before
Kerrington Eubanks took over for the second leg. Eubanks flew down the homestretch to give
Cam Andrews the baton with a slight lead. Andrews then dropped a sub 46 split to give
Jaysaun Smith the baton still in first. Smith took off and did not look back, giving UC their first ever 4x400 national title.
Roderick Soto, who ran in the prelims to secure UC's spot in the finals, also earned national champion honors.
The first race of the day with a Patriot competitor was the 4x100, where UC took third overall for another All-American finish.
Donte Sol ran the opening leg before Andrews handled the back straight away.
Daniel Dixon took over for the final curve, handing the baton to
Travion Dotson who crossed the finish line in 39.78.
Dotson and Andrews also ran in the open 100m and 200m dashes on Friday. Dotson came away with fifth overall in the 100m after clocking a 10.36. Andrews followed with a 21.06 200m finish for sixth overall, earning his third All-American medal of the meet.
Luca Madeo rounded out the Patriots entries on the final day of competition. The sophomore ran in the 5K, where he ran a 14:49.76 for ninth overall, missing All-American by just seven seconds.
Cumberlands scored 38 points as a team, earning sixth overall. British Columbia won the meet with 74 points while Madonna and William Carey rounded out the top three with 53 and 44 points, respectively.
