UC Women's Bowling Places 11th at Columbia 300 Shootout

Indianapolis, IN – The UC women's bowling team had a solid showing this weekend, securing an 11th place finish out of 23 teams at the Columbia 300 Shootout.
 
Cumberlands tallied 8586 total pins over the two-day tournament. UC knocked down 5643 pins in the six team games on Saturday to sit in tenth place. The Pats finished the tournament in 11th after the 16 baker games on Sunday.
 
Junior Paige Frantz led the way for UC and placed 27th overall. Frantz knocked down 1179 pins through six games for a 196.5-pin average. The Louisville, KY native's best score came in game six with 223 pins.
 
Skyler Holt bowled an identical score to Frantz with 1179 pins knocked down, placing 28th. She also posted a 196.5 tournament pin average. Holt's best score came in game three, knocking down 221 pins. The sophomore improved twelve spots from last year's 40th place finish.
 
Freshman Kaci Sapp had an impressive performance in her first collegiate match, placing 30th and knocking down 1174 pins through six games for a 195.67 pin average. Sapp's best score came in game four with 236 pins.
 
Trine University finished first with 9312 pins, while Calumet College of St. Joseph and Rochester University rounded out the top-three.
 
The Pats return to the lanes on Saturday, October 26th for the first Mid-South Conference tournament of the season.
