Smyrna, TN – The UC men's bowling team concluded the opening weekend of conference action with a ninth place finish out of 18 teams in the Brandon Burns Memorial Tournament on Sunday.
Cumberlands tallied 5303 pins total through four team games and eight baker games. The Patriots knocked down 3872 pins in the team games to sit in eighth place. UC totaled 1431 pins in the baker games to secure the top ten finish.
Austin Hale led the way for UC and placed fourth overall in team games. The junior knocked down 935 pins through four games for a 233.8-pin average. Hale posted his best score in game one with 256 pins.
Liam McNamara and Noah Hall were the next finishers for the Pats, finishing 55th and 33rd, respectively. McNamara had a total pinfall of 778 through four games for a 194.5-pin average. His best score came in game one with 230 pins. Hall knocked down 605 pins through three games for a 201.7-pin average. The freshman posted his best score in game three with 240 pins.
Aidan Longo placed 110th with a total pinfall of 581 for a 193.7-pin average. His best score came in game two with 209 pins.
Matthew Yazell finished 121st, knocking down 528 pins for a 176-pin average. The freshman's best score came in the third game with 187 pins.
UC returns to action on Friday, November 22nd, for the NAIA Invitational in Louisville, KY.
