Bowling Green, KY – The UC men's bowling team fell in round three on day two of the Mid-South Conference Tournament on Friday.
The MSC Tournament follows a double elimination format with each team needing to win best-of-seven baker style games in each round to advance.
Cumberlands entered the tournament as the fifth seed and took down four-seeded Campbellsville in the first round yesterday.
UC opened day two with a match against top-seeded Pikeville. The Pats started strong, winning the first match 231-205 to take an early 1-0 advantage. The Bears responded with three consecutive wins (229-169, 197-147, and 202-132) to take a 3-1 lead. Cumberlands took the fourth match by a score of 188-161 to force a game six. Pikeville secured the second-round victory in the sixth match to capture the 4-2 win.
The Pats ended the day taking on seventh-seeded Lindsey Wilson. After falling in the first three matches, UC earned a 184-163 win in the fourth match to cut the deficit to 3-1. Lindsey Wilson won the fifth match 170-124 to secure the third-round victory, 4-1.
