Results 
Smyrna, TN - The Cumberlands women's bowling team finished the first weekend of conference action with a fifth place finish out of 15 teams in the Brandon Burns Memorial Tournament on Sunday. 
 
The Pats tallied 4843 pins total through four team games and eight baker games. The Pats sat in fifth place with 3480 pins in team games, before coming away with 1363 pins in baker games to secure the top-ten finish. 
 
Paige Frantz led the way for the Pats and placed sixth overall in team games. Frantz had a total pinfall of 795 through four games for a 198.7-pin average. The junior saw her best score come in game three with 214 pins.  
 
In just her second collegiate tournament, freshman Kaci Sapp was the next finisher for UC. Sapp placed 16th with a total pinfall of 749 for a 187.25-pin average. Her best score came in game three where she knocked down 200 pins.  
 
Skyler Holt placed 69th overall with a total pinfall of 488 in three games for a 162.67-pin average. Her best score came in the final game with 170 pins. 
 
Katie Palmer placed 77th with a total pinfall of 446 through three games for a 148.67-pin average. Her best score came in game one with 170 pins. Rylee Carter placed 88th, knocking down 354 pins for a 177-pin average.  
 
Kailee Blain and Allison Finn also saw action, knocking down 325 and 323 pins, respectively in two games. 
 
Pikeville placed first with 5481 pins while Milligan (5123) and Cumberland University (4980) rounded out the top-three.  
 
The Pats are back in action on Saturday, November 2nd, for the Brunswick Southern Classic in Marietta, GA.
