Louisville, KY- The Patriots women's bowling team put together a strong performance against some of the top competition the NAIA has to offer in Louisville this weekend. UC placed fourth on Saturday and seventh overall in the first two days to qualify for the Sunday games.

The Patriots had a total pinfall of 8768 through the first two days. Cumberlands went on to face two seeded Pikeville in the round of 8 and eventually fell 4-3 in the games. 

Skyler Holt led the way for the Pats in the individual games and placed 28th overall. Holt had a total pinfall of 905 through five games for a 181-pin average. The sophomore earned her best score in game two with 201 pins.

Kailee Blain was the next finisher for UC and placed 30th overall. The freshman knocked down 902 pins through five games for 180.4-pin average. Her best score came in game two with 225 pins.

Louisville native Paige Frantz had a strong performance back in her hometown, placing 42nd overall with a total pinfall of 864 through five games for a 172.8-pin average. Her best score came in game four with 194 pins.

Katie Palmer finished 77th, knocking down 676 pins through four games for a 169-pin average. The sophomore earned her best score in two with 203 pins.

Rylee Carter placed 94th and knocked down 454 pins through three games for a 151.3-pin average. Right behind her was Kaci Sapp, knocking down 439 pins in three games to place 95th.

The Pats will have some time off before returning to the lanes January 18th, for the ISBPA Kegel Collegiate Classic in Addison, IL.
