Bowling Green, KY - After a solid week against tough competition, UC's
Killian Surmont was named MSC Men's Tennis Player of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.
The France native picks up this honor for the first time this season and first time in his career.
Surmont posted a perfect 3-0 record as UC defeated a pair of teams ranked or receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches' Poll.
The sophomore opened the week with a solid singles win in straight sets. Surmont defeated Jaume Barcelo of Lindsey Wilson 6-2, 6-4 to score the Pats first point as #22 Cumberlands went on to defeat #13 Lindsey Wilson 5-2 to remain unbeaten in conference play.
Surmont contributed two points to the Patriots 7-0 win over (RV) Lewis-Clark State. Surmont paired with Billy Chiang to earn a 6-1 victory Nell Rollin and Austin Swing at #2 doubles. Surmont followed that up with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Rafael Bonnet at #2 singles to close the day.

th, hosting #12 Cumberland at the UC Tennis Complex.
