Williamsburg, KY – Patriots Men's Wrestling introduced Randon Miranda as the newest Graduate Assistant for the 2024-25 season.
Miranda comes to UC after leaving the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO. He began his career at nine years old under his father who sat as the Children's Director of California USA Wrestling. Miranda holds many accolades from his career including, 2x Junior World Team Member, 2x U23 World Team Member, 3x PanAm Medalist, and he his a 10x International Medalist. Head Coach
Corey Ruff explained, "Randon's wealth of international experience on a senior level is a game changer for our program… we are fired up to have him join our family."
Coach Miranda shared, "I fell extremely fortunate for this opportunity to coach at University of the Cumberlands and to work with a disciplined team as well as a devoted support system and staff." He looks to represent the University as best as possible for the school, the state of Kentucky, and the sport of wrestling. "I want to personally thank Coach Ruff and the fellow coaches for allowing me to be a part of something special and I look forward to the success that will come from hard work and dedication."
When asked about Miranda's hire, Head Coach
Corey Ruff expressed, "I am very proud of Coach Miranda's hire, this is something I have been trying to accomplish for three years and I am extremely grateful things finally came together… it is an exciting time to be a Patriot!"
