Kansas City, MO – The University of the Cumberlands men's cross country team has climbed to No. 3 in the latest NAIA Men's Cross Country Coaches' Poll, officials announced Thursday. The ranking marks one of the highest in program history as the Patriots continue their impressive 2025 campaign. 

UC's rise comes on the heels of a strong showing at the Greater Louisville Classic, where the Patriots ran against elite NAIA and NCAA competition. Noah Loeser led the Patriots with a standout performance, crossing the line in 24:48.7 to place 54th overall. His time ranks as the fastest for UC this season and sits among the top 20 performances in program history. 

Cumberlands totaled 501 points in this week's poll. The Master's (Calif.) holds the top spot, followed by Indiana Wesleyan, College of Idaho, and Taylor (Ind.) rounding out the top five.  

UC will return to competition at the NAIA Appalachian Challenge on Friday, October 24, in Knoxville, Tennessee, as they continue preparations for the postseason.
