Bowling Green, KY - For the first time in his career, Noah Loeser was named Mid-South Conference Runner of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.
The Heilbad Heiligenstadt, Germany native led the Patriots with a strong run, crossing the line in 24:48.7 to place 54th overall out of 326 runners in the men's 8k at the Louisville Classic this past Friday. The junior was the top finisher for the Patriots as well as the top finisher in the NAIA at this meet.
Loeser's efforts helped UC finish 14th out of 32 teams in the most competitive field at this event, consisting of primarily NCAA Division 1 and 2 teams. He becomes the third Patriot to receive the honor this season and marks the first of his career.
UC will return to competition at the NAIA Appalachian Challenge on Friday, October 24, in Knoxville, Tennessee, as they continue preparations for the postseason.
