Kansas City, MO - The University of the Cumberlands men's golf team continues to gain national attention, climbing to No. 23 in the latest NAIA Men's Golf Coaches' Poll, released Friday. The ranking marks the second regular-season poll of the fall and highlights UC's steady progress throughout the semester. 

Cumberlands closed out its fall schedule on a strong note, finishing runner-up at the Fall Mid-South Conference Preview at Bowling Green Country Club. The Patriots posted a three-round total of (+14) to take second place in a deep conference field that included several nationally ranked programs. 

Leading the way for UC was Eli Fischer, who earned a top-five finish after carding rounds of 72 (E), 75 (+3), and 72 (E) for a total of 219 (+3). Fischer's steady play, highlighted by 11 birdies throughout the tournament, capped off one of his most consistent performances of the season 

The only other Mid-South Conference team in the poll is Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), sitting at No. 6. 

With the fall season in the books, the Patriots now shift their focus to the spring schedule, where they'll look to build on their momentum and continue refining their game ahead of championship play.
