Greencastle, IN – The Cumberlands men's swimming & diving team hit the water with a splash posting nine wins, a pair of school records, and 15 NAIA cuts to open their dual meet with DePauw. The Patriots close out the night leading the team standings 134-51.

Brandon Holder,
Arvid Farro, and
Alexander Poulsen teamed to clock a 1:21.43 to win the 200 free relay. That time shattered the previous school record of 1:22.06 and is the top-time in the NAIA by almost a second.
Poulsen continued his unbelieve start to his career as he touched the wall in 19.94 to win the 50 free and hold the top time in the NAIA. The freshman became the first Patriot swimmer to break 20.0 in the event and he broke the school record set in 2022.
Cumberlands opened the meet by winning the 400-medley relay as the quartet of swimmers clocked a 3:18.57, which is the top time in the NAIA.
Fabrizio Pacioni notched a pair of individual wins on the night. The Anagni, Italy native opened with a 1:43.66 to win the 200 free. That time hit the provisional cut and ranks sixth in the NAIA. Pacioni followed that up by pulling away from the field to win the 400 IM, clocking a 3:59.17, which is the top-time in the NAIA and the third fastest time in program history.
UC notched a one-two finish in both the 200 fly and the 100 back. Juan Pablo Ramirez Zapata notched the second fastest time in the NAIA as he went 1:51.54 to win the 200 fly, while
Zsombor Bene touched the wall in 1:54.05. Both of those times hit the provisional cut. Ramirez Zapata recorded his second provisional cut as he went 4:14.00 in the 400 IM.
Geddis led a trio of national cuts in the 100 back finishing with a winning time of 51.01.
Ruthiik Satti was right on his heels at 51.60, while Holder's time of 52.15 earned him fourth.
In the 100 breast it was veteran
Leon Irmer leading the charge, clocking a 55.93, which is the third fastest time in the country this season.
Arvid Farro clocked a 20.93 in the 50 free, while
Arda Mutlu went 1:44.73 in the 200 free to hit the provisional cuts.
On the boards,
Aidan Crutchfield posted a 243.35 to earn the win on the one-meter board.
UC returns to the water Saturday, November 1
st, when they hit the water for the final day of competition against DePauw. The meet is set to begin at 11 a.m.
