10/8/2025 8:38:00 AM

Williamsburg, KY – University of the Cumberlands Women's Basketball Head Coach Rick Reeves has announced the Patriots' 2025-26 schedule, featuring 28 contests with 16 home games inside the O. Wayne Rollins Center.  The Patriots will be taking part in three classics during the first half of the season, including a pair at home.

"We are excited about the quality of teams that are on the schedule this year," said Coach Reeves.  "We've had one of the strongest RPI's in the country the past few years and believe that will hold true again this year."

UC tips off the season on Friday, October 24, when they host Kentucky Christian at 5:30 p.m. The Patriots remain at home the following week as part of the Cumberlands Classic. That event begins October 30 with Huntington before UC faces Milligan on October 31 at 11 a.m.

"These classics gives our team an opportunity to experience a tournament atmosphere and preparing them to play on back-to-back days," said Coach Reeves.

The Patriots then head to Cookeville, TN, for an exhibition at NCAA DI Tennessee Tech on November 3. UC returns home to host Defiance (Nov. 6) and Goshen (Nov. 7).  This is Cumberlands' second classic of the season, and it marks the first time that the Patriots will square off with both of these teams.

The Patriots will travel to Alice Lloyd (Nov. 11) before traveling up to the Hoosier State to face Marian on November 15.  This is a rematch of last year's NAIA Round of 16 game, and it marks the third straight season these two teams have squared off.

Cumberlands returns home to face Oregon Tech on Nov. 19. This marks the first meeting between the Patriots and the Owls as both of these teams qualified for the NAIA Tournament last season.

The remainder of the non-conference slate features several familiar foes, including Saint Mary of the Woods (Nov. 22) and IU Southeast (Nov. 25). UC will close out the fall semester with games against Washington Adventist (Dec. 2), Shawnee State (Dec. 4), and a Florida trip to face Brewton Parker (Dec. 15) and Tennessee Wesleyan (Dec. 16) as part of Southeastern Classic. The Patriots wrap up 2025 slate by hosting Union Commonwealth on December 30.

Cumberlands opens the 2026 portion of its schedule at home against Miami-Hamilton on January 3, before beginning Mid-South Conference play. The MSC opener comes on January 8 at Bethel, followed by a road trip to Freed-Hardeman (Jan. 10). UC's first conference home game is set for January 15 against Cumberland, with Georgetown (Jan. 22) and Campbellsville (Jan. 24) also coming to Williamsburg that month.

"The Mid-South Conference is one of the premier conferences in the NAIA and this year will continue to showcase its depth," said Coach Reves.

The Patriots will close out January and there five game home stint with a stretch against Bethel (Jan. 29) and Freed-Hardeman (Jan. 31).

February opens with road tests at Lindsey Wilson (Feb. 5), Georgetown (Feb. 7), Cumberland (Feb. 12) and Campbellsville (Feb. 19).   UC returns home to close out the regular season against Lindsey Wilson (Feb. 21) inside the Rollins Center.

Cumberlands will head to Bowling Green, KY, for the Mid-South Conference Tournament February 27–March 2.
