Kansas City, MO – The UC Men's Soccer team closes the 2025 season ranked #4 in the NAIA Postseason Coaches' Poll, marking the second straight year the Patriots finish inside the top four nationally. 

Cumberlands capped the season with an overall record of 9-6-6 and 5-1 in Mid-South Conference play. The Patriots once again proved to be one of the premier programs in the NAIA, advancing to the NAIA Final Site for the second year in a row and reaching the NAIA Semifinals to conclude another strong postseason run. 

Individually, Bruno Garcia, Mario Fernandez Garcia, and Javiero Izquierdo Cuervo earned national recognition after being named NAIA All-Americans. Garcia was selected to the Second Team, while Fernandez Garcia and Izquierdo Cuervo both earned Third Team honors. Garcia and teammate Emil Skursch were also named to the NAIA All-Tournament Team for their standout performances during UC's semifinal run. 

Within the Mid-South Conference, the Patriots placed four players on the MSC All-Conference Teams. Garcia and Fernandez Garcia were honored as First Team selections, while Skursch and Izquierdo Cuervo earned Second Team recognition. Cumberlands also swept the league's coaching awards, with Paulo Neto being named MSC Head Coach of the Year and Jack Smith earning MSC Assistant Coach of the Year. 

This year's squad was anchored by captain Bruno Garcia, who provided leadership throughout the campaign and helped guide a roster that included a large and impactful senior and graduate student class. That group played a vital role in elevating the program to back-to-back NAIA Semifinal appearances and one of the most successful two-year stretches in team history. 

Under the direction of Head Coach Paulo Neto and Assistant Coaches Jack Smith and Wyatt Durbin, the Patriots look ahead to the 2026 season with momentum and the continued expectation of national prominence.
