BOWLING GREEN, KY – For the first time this indoor season, Travion Dotson has been named the MSC Men's Track Athlete of the Week, conference officials announced Monday. The graduate sprinter showcased dominant early-season form at the Liberty Kickoff, hitting a pair of national standards and rewriting the Cumberlands record book in the process.
Dotson highlighted the meet with a standout performance in the 60-meter dash, topping a field of 66 competitors to win the event in 6.71. That mark not only secured an A standard but also stands as the fastest time in the NAIA this season and a new UC school record.
He carried that momentum into the 200-meter dash, where he placed second overall out of 55 runners with a 21.58 finish — another national standard and the top NAIA result in the race.
Dotson's efforts continue to solidify him as one of the premier sprinters in the nation and give UC its first MSC Men's Track Athlete of the Week honor of the indoor campaign.
The Patriots now shift their focus toward January when they return to the track for the 2026 Mod McCravy Memorial.
