BOWLING GREEN, KY – Lilian Bittencourt has been named the MSC Women's Track Athlete of the Week, conference officials announced Monday afternoon. The junior standout opened her season in strong fashion, hitting a national standard and winning her event at the Montreat Invite.
 
Bittencourt controlled the 3,000-meter racewalk from start to finish, crossing the line in 16:17.23 to take first place overall. Her performance not only topped the field but also secured a national B standard, marking an impressive early-season showing for the Patriots.
 
This weekly honor highlights Bittencourt's continued rise in the racewalk discipline and gives UC another conference recognition during the indoor campaign.
 
The Patriots now shift their focus toward January when they return to the track for the 2026 Mod McCravy Memorial.
