Bowling Green, KY – The Patriots women's golf team opened their spring schedule with a runner-up finish at the LTU Spring Invites.  Ainslee Cruce led UC's success with a top-five finish that also earned the sophomore MSC Golfer of the Week honors.

Cruce closed out the 54-hole tournament with a 232 (+16) to place fourth and earn All-Tournament honors. The sophomore carded eight birdies and an eagle over the three rounds.

The Bowling Green, KY native opened the tournament carding three birdies over her final eight holes to finish with a 78 (+6).  Cruce followed that up 78 (+6) in the second round that was highlighted with an eagle on the 12^th hole.  The sophomore saved her best performance for last as she closed out the tournament sinking four birdies and carding a 76 (+4) to post the top-five finish.

Cumberlands returns to the links Thursday, March 20th, when they travel to Louisville, KY to compete at the LTU Heritage Hill Collegiate.
